ORGANIZATION
The ‘members
of the congregation’ run our church. Officers and board and committee members are elected at the Annual Program
Meeting in May. The officers (moderator, assistant moderator, clerk, treasurer, and financial secretary) gather with board
representatives and two members at-large to form a Council that meets monthly to oversee the operation and programs of the
church.
BOARD OF CHRISTIAN
NURTURE provides supervision for our
licensed West Norwalk Nursery School
(daily programs) and gives guidance for Christian education programs for all ages.
BOARD OF CHURCH
PROPERTIES keeps a watchful eye on
the buildings and grounds on our 3 ½ acres of land. The parsonage is located at 22
Betmarlea Road.
BOARD OF MEMBERSHIP is responsible for nurturing our fellowship life and
for inviting and assimilating new members.
BOARD OF MINISTRY
(DEACONS) is responsible for our worship
and spiritual life. They assist with Pastoral visitation and support the Pastor and the Minister of Visitation.
BOARD OF MISSIONS invites the congregation to support local and global
missions with their talent and/or treasure.
BOARD OF STEWARDSHIP provides financial guidance for our church and heads
to annual fall stewardship campaign.
MEMORIAL COMMITTEE provides policy and procedures for memorial gifts to
our church.
NOMINATING COMMITTEE recruits members to serve as officers and board and
committee members.
PASTOR RELATIONS
COMMITTEE serves as a sounding board
and communication link between the congregation and Pastor.
